Take it for a ride. Like these guys. Into the sunset. Etc.

Hackney to Richmond Park Loop.
Just a quick one! Once you get to Richmond Park you explore or just enjoy some calm and quiet. There are a few places for 'refreshments' or do what I do and fill up your 'bidon' with Tia Maria and Coke well in advance. Best to do this early on the weekend otherwise traffic is just far too annoying.

Richmond is pretty nice this time of year - not captured in any way in any of these images.

Believed to be Roberto Benigni's cousin's mates bike (previous owner can confirm this) and ridden to victory on numerous occasions in the Italian track league throughout the early eighties. This newly acquired Barchelli frame has just been built up using a mismatch of components. Many countries wares are represented in the build; Reynolds, Rolls, Stronglight, Thomson, Miche and even good old Weinmann. Not forgetting Ireland through use of a Guinness can shim.

Anyway its a new whip so gonna go test ride.

Nice early nineties Raleigh Scorpio racing bike with original decals, metal head badge, neon / white / purple fade paint etc. Looks good, rides better. Quick and comfortable, perfect for training or city commute. 700c Alesa alloy wheels, smooth headset, bottom bracket and indexed gear change. New decent fast rolling Michelin tyres and inner tubes and new handlebar tape just fitted. The frame size is 59cm.

Got hold of the F+F a while back wanting to build it up with some high end shit but time and patience were not forthcoming... Finished it with mainly old school XTR so not completely terrible all the same... 

... apart from the fact that I think it may be too small for me.

Just checked this movie again and have to say it puts a smile on my face every time...


Also just put this together. Gears and drivechain were kaput so had to be singlespeed-ed. Hopefully kinda suits the F+F.

Reynolds 531 throughout so light as a feather...
